Description
Atrial fibrillation
is a common and complex arrthythmia. In the past 10 years
cather-based radiofrequency ablation
has dramatically increased to the benefit of eliminating AF in the most symptomatic patients
affected by this problematic arrhymia.Further investigation into the
electrophysiological properties in AF is required to develop an
appropriate treatment, though radiofrequency ablation has opened the
new era of therapies for AF. In order to be used as an important role
in characterizing complete propagation through atrium, whole-atrial
epicardial mapping system may analysis both amplitude and phase
information. In order to record whole atrial electrical activity at
the same time, a new epicardial mapping system was developed in 2008.
This map system can synchronously record multi-sites electronic signals
in a cardiac cycle, and then to demonstrate the activation's propagation
path in a 3D cardiac model.
